Behold, this Christmas, the dead who lie upon the blood soaked land. Men, women, children and fetuses. The firstborn of Egypt, the Amalekites, 14,000 Israelite here, 500,000 there. All by the maniacal, genocidal, jealous hand of a supposed all loving god.

If the case were that Christians, Jews, and Muslims, viewed their holy scriptures in the same fashion that a child reading "Three Little Pigs" would, there would not exist such a dire need to undue the rotted indoctrination that has poisoned beautiful minds for thousands of years. Unfortunately, for humankind, the aforementioned believers have chosen to silence that same voice which tells a child that it is 'just pretend'. They brought their private (and should have been kept so) beliefs into the realm of public discussion, scientific reality, and under the lens of scrutiny.

Born uncorrupted, they would have remained so. If not for our meddling in their fragile and empty little cerebrums, the children of our future would have easily left gods -of any sort- behind long ago. Those who would go out and purchase a brand new home computer, only to take it home, unwrap and connect it, and then proceed to load the most damaging of viruses onto it, could easily argue with me that it was the will of the 'virus writer'. This is what some people do with their new babies. They cannot wait to get them home and begin administering the slow drip of religious cancer into their veins.

Let us leave behind the great many excuses apologists make for the evils written among the Holy tales. For some things there is not a need for interpretation, nor a moral to justify a crime. Lets us also assume for the moment that the Bible is indeed the "word of god" (as many believers claim it to be), and not a clump of nonsensical stories written hundreds of years after the fact, by not-so-bright individuals who didn't know the Earth was a sphere, or that it rotated around the Sun rather than the other way around.

God loves....to kill

If you don't believe in the power of written words, the statement that god loves to kill ought not bother you. However, if you agree with my own view that words can be very powerful tools, then your blood is likely boiling upon reading such a phrase. No matter though, the statement is false in any case. Only to the believer himself could this be true, when the thoughts incurs: How could someone that kills so much, and so often, and in such extreme proportions, not enjoy it ? Of course, in mass killings, god is also bringing his children, whom he loves, back home. That would bring a smile on any parents face!

If one takes the Holy tales seriously and literally (or even those who examine it with an open mind), and compares an "Act of Terrorism" to an "Act of God", in no time would they must conclude that this character of "god" is comparable to an Osama bin Laden times a thousand. Conservatively.

An act of terrorism is most defined as an act or threat of violence to coerce a population, often for political purposes. The definition is broad, but nonetheless the word is the word.

In Genesis 7:21-23 , god basically wipes out billions of living creatures;

(21) Every living thing that moved on the earth perished—birds, livestock, wild animals, all the creatures that swarm over the earth, and all mankind. (22) Everything on dry land that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. (23) Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

God drowns innocent people, women, babies, and animals, basically from the get go. He also promises that he will do it again. This is both an act of genocidal violence and the threat of it! But, did he make his point clearly enough in taking billions of lives in the ultimate act of terror? Not in his opinion.

In Numbers 16:48-49 god kills 14,000 people who complained of being killed too much!

(48) He stood between the living and the dead, and the plague stopped. (49) But 14,700 people died from the plague, in addition to those who had died because of Korah.

In Chronicles 13:15-18 god assists the men of Judah in killing 500,000 people.
(15) and the men of Judah raised the battle cry. At the sound of their battle cry, God routed Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. (16) The Israelites fled before Judah, and God delivered them into their hands. (17) Abijah and his men inflicted heavy losses on them, so that there were five hundred thousand casualties among Israel's able men. (18) The men of Israel were subdued on that occasion, and the men of Judah were victorious because they relied on the LORD, the God of their fathers.
In Exodus 32, Moses talks god out of killing 3000 Jews, but then when he himself sees them worshiping a golden calf, he commands them to kill each other. God finishes the rest off with a his patented, and favored move, a plague.

(27) Then he said to them, "This is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: 'Each man strap a sword to his side. Go back and forth through the camp from one end to the other, each killing his brother and friend and neighbor.' " (28) The Levites did as Moses commanded, and that day about three thousand of the people died. (29) Then Moses said, "You have been set apart to the LORD today, for you were against your own sons and brothers, and he has blessed you this day."

(30) The next day Moses said to the people, "You have committed a great sin. But now I will go up to the LORD; perhaps I can make atonement for your sin."

(31) So Moses went back to the LORD and said, "Oh, what a great sin these people have committed! They have made themselves gods of gold. (32) But now, please forgive their sin—but if not, then blot me out of the book you have written."

(33) The LORD replied to Moses, "Whoever has sinned against me I will blot out of my book. (34) Now go, lead the people to the place I spoke of, and my angel will go before you. However, when the time comes for me to punish, I will punish them for their sin."

(35) And the LORD struck the people with a plague because of what they did with the calf Aaron had made.

My personal favorite horror story, and most heinous of terror acts, comes in Exodus 12:29 when god kills ALL the firstborn of Egypt.

At midnight the LORD struck down all the firstborn in Egypt, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, who sat on the throne, to the firstborn of the prisoner, who was in the dungeon, and the firstborn of all the livestock as well.

The mass murder of innocent children, and cows. It can be defined no other way.

The list seems to go on forever. God kills 50,000 in ]Samuel 6:19 for looking at the lords ark. God destroys the two cities of Sodom and Gomorrah, and kills everyone by raining down burning sulfur on them (Genesis 19:24), sends two bears to maul to death forty-two youths (Kings 2:23-24), and finishes off the Amorites with killer hailstones, after having assisted in their slaughter (Joshua 10:10-11).

Is god a terrorist? The answer is simple.

If god were not a fictional, genocidal child-killing maniac, he would have been.

It is easy to see why Israel opts to collectively punish Palestinians with starvation. They are simply doing gods work for him!

Merry Christmas! Remember God is watching you believers, whilst the Atheists remain free to live.

Yes, God is terrorist. and he promotes incest... I can't quote the exact section, but it told a man to go to Bethlehem, find his cousin and choose one of his daughters for marriage and procreation.

Religion doesn't only cause wars... I see it also as a scapegoat for countries who decide they wish to invade and attack another country, but wish not to explain their reasoning.

Glad I am not going to heaven.

Who wants to chill with a psychopathic, Genocidal, Jealous, child killing universal dictator anyway?

For someone who denounces the scriptures, you seem to spend a lot of time reading them. Too bad you're thoroughly confused about who actually embraces this literature because it negates any argument you might have against Christ or Christians. More on that later.

It’s quite humorous how atheists will go to no ends to attempt to ridicule or dispel a God Creator simply because "science" has no explanation. Maybe they'll figure it out when they deduce where the invisible energizer bunny hides that powers the heart muscle to beat 100,000 times a day and 3 billion times in an average lifespan.

Holding the beliefs of an atheist is actually a religion or cult unto its own. The internet is rife with sites and networks denouncing and demonizing God so it's obviously much more than a fanciful pastime. Why make such a fuss over a philosophical difference unless there is much at stake. Why such a contempt for those who have faith in an eternal life in a loving and peaceful world unle...

Unless someone harbors a lot of deep-seated guilt over the way they choose to live, or they serve another entity, I can't imagine anyone turning down the opportunity to exist in such an idyllic place, however remote the possibility. A lot to gain for so little effort. If nothing else, it helps to mitigate any fear of dying someone might have.

Many scientists are atheists because a belief in a higher power would naturally conflict with their research -- and their economic health. They like to think they can achieve a god-like status all of their own. They'll one day discover that fame, fortune and all the Nobel prizes in the world aren't worth a plug nickel.

If anyone believes the rejection of a God frees them of accountability, I think they're just fooling themselves -- in the same way as those who thin...

...think all sin is absolved by confession or a donation to the church coffers.

One of the errors atheists make is equating God with organized religion. For the most part, organized religion is a fraud and a scam created and perpetrated by man for his own vested interests. But that in itself is no grounds to dismiss the possibility of a God Creator, or discredit Him for all the death and destruction caused by holy wars throughout history.

According to scripture, Jesus never had a church of his own. He said, "Those that worship me shall do so not in a building built with hands but in spirit and in truth". In fact, Jesus tore down temples occupied by the "money changers", admonishing them for their evil-doing in what He called the "synagogues of Satan".

  • Marianne  - deity daze
He didn't dress in fancy regalia or live in palatial surroundings. He never expected his followers to bow down to him, kiss him or offer him payment for his friendship and good deeds.

Jesus never asked the question "What church denomination are you" or "Does your church believe in the Holy Spirit?" or "Is your church a non-profit corporation?". The Vatican has become the center of all Christianity. Curious that, because Jesus never even set foot in Rome and certainly never anointed a Pope to speak on His behalf.

Like most phony organized religious sects -- monetary gain and control is what the Roman Catholic church worships.

"The Pope is not only the representative of Jesus Christ, he is Jesus Christ himself" - Roman Catholic National, July 1895.

The Roman Catholic church is by no means the only perpetrator of this facade. Other organized religions, including the Christian, Jewish and Muslim faiths are just as guilty of this mass deception.
  • Marianne  - deity daze
But I digress. The other mistake atheists are commonly guilty of is believing that Christians follow the teachings of the Old Testament. Atheists often quote scripture, as you have, contending that it relates to the Christian's divinity and that their God is consumed with wrath, hatred and hypocrisy. There's no doubt that the God of the Old Testament bore these traits, but it is not the Christians who embrace these first five books of the Old Testament, but in fact, the Jews.

Their god is NOT Jesus Christ, but is known among other names as Jehovah, Moloch and Baal. More familiar terms are the Serpent, the Dragon and Satan.

The Christian's God at times certainly demonstrated anger and aggression in the New Testament, but it is unquestionably justified. He was a threat to the Pharisees and they hated him because of the way the masses embraced and loved him. The Jewish Pharisees were finally his undoing when they ordered the Romans to crucify him.

Jews most holy books and is replete with anti-Christian sentiment, warfare and savagery from a vengeful God, who the Jews sacrificed live babies to. The phrase from their scripture, "slaughter every man, woman and child in the village" echoes the modern-day atrocities Israel has committed against the Palestinians.

It stands to reason that if a God exists, he can't be both wrathful and peaceful. It's also logical that if a God does exist, so does an anti-Christ or the Devil.

Christians honor the New Testament and the loving God. Don't fall for the deceptions and get the two confused or you'll never know your true enemy, and why world events unfold as they do. A little bit of knowledge can be a dangerous thing. (Naturally, I'm assuming you're not a Zionist or a so-called self-styled Jew in the know)

By the way, where is the irrefutable evidence that Osama bin Laden is a terrorist? It's a certainty that George Bush is guilty of treason and war crimes and should be hanging by his neck instead of traveling the globe giving talks, but I have yet to see proof that bin Laden was in the same league. Yes, the two did have business ties in the Carlyle Group, but that doesn't necessarily mean Osama murdered thousands of innocent civilians like Bush has in Iraq and Afghanistan. bin Laden was a Saudi-Arabian so shouldn't we have invaded that country?

The US military likely would have if the pipeline that runs through Afghanistan was there, along with the billion dollar opium trade. Everything is a circle -- sometimes it's just so hard to see.

There's two things wrong with your first statement.

    1. Not ALL Atheists "go to no ends" to dispel god...some just don't care.

I am not one of those Atheists however.

    2. Science has a better explanation than any religion. We call it Evolution based on Natural Selection.

"Holding the beliefs of an atheist is actually a religion or cult unto its own. "

    1. Atheist don't have "beliefs". That's what makes them Atheist.

There's no doctrine, no god, no rules, no sign, no meeting houses, no nothing...how can it be a religion OR a cult? It's neither.

"The internet is rife with sites and networks denouncing and demonizing God so it's obviously much more than a fanciful pastime. "

That's good! It is the dawn of a new age...the Age of Reason. It is a grand awakening of the masses.

Why such a contempt for those who have faith in an eternal life in a loving and peaceful world unless there is much at stake. Why such a contempt for those who have faith in an eternal life in a loving and peaceful world unless they threaten your beliefs, or your Master.

There's no contempt for those who have faith IMO.

I see them as victims of early childhood indoctrination into religion.

The contempt should be focused at the words written down in ancient holy books, not the people who just happen to believe them.

But I guess sometimes it's hard not to laugh at some people with faith. Such as those who believe that Noah put all those creatures on board one boat, or those who believe the Earth is merely 6000 years old, etc.

Those particular individuals are simply not using their heads at all. And yes...that is very dangerous in my opinion.

    "or your Master"

The good thing about being an Atheist is that there are zero "masters" a.k.a universal "dictators&...

"For the most part, organized religion is a fraud and a scam created and perpetrated by man for his own vested interests."

    I agree.

"I can't imagine anyone turning down the opportunity to exist in such an idyllic place, however remote the possibility."

I would not want to live with a dude that created the Earth, filled it with billions of living creatures...then wiped it all out (by drowning in an surely agonizing and slow death), because HE decided he didn't like it.

Would you kill a child with a birth defect?

Further, I wouldn't want to live with a dude who would concoct such a ridiculous plan(creating man), which he knew would fail, and knew his son/himself would have to die a agonizing, painful and slow death in order to "make right" (which also failed miserably)

Besides, what kind of god can create a whole frigging un...

I will not mention the fact that if one were to believe that they're descendants of Adam & Eve, then they must also believe they are the product of direct inbreeding of a incestuous relationship.

What's really funny, is that some creationists laugh at us for believing the facts of evolution, and that we share a common ancestor with monkeys.
  • Mike
    avatar
As for the rest, I will only say that it looks you might have an issue with those who follow Judaism. A religious tension, a rift, exists between Christians, Jews, and Muslims...do I really need to say more?

I view them all equally....as victims of their parents chosen religion.

If they all realized that there is probably no god, and they're likely all wrong...then I bet MY LIFE, there would be far less suicide bombings (Iraq, Afghanistan), rocket attacks (Hamas), brutal never-ending war crimes (Israel), etc. not to mention the mis-education worldwide when it comes to history and science.

I could probably continue a list for hours on things that would surely improve upon, if there weren't any religions.

"By the way, where is the irrefutable evidence that Osama bin Laden is a terrorist?"

    That's a good question.

One would have to have "faith" to believe Osama had anything to do with 9/11.

    And there's another huge problem.

We teach people to have "faith", and they do, rather than demanding to see evidence, and use logic and reason to solve horrendous crimes, or other problems.

Faith is the reason GWB is not in prison.
