It's November 11th, the day of remembrance for all those who fought in the the world wars to fight for our "Freedom". Yes, the allied side came out on top from both of those wars and many did die. But Freedom has not been won, the only freedom that was achieved was to keep our countries from becoming a German nation. I sometimes wonder what it would be like if the Germans perhaps had been victorious and we were all under German rule. I imagine it wouldn't actually be that much different, just less varieties of people or religions. Actually it would probably be a lot more peaceful, because we would all be apart of one nation. There wouldn't be so many nations to fight with. We honour those who fought and died for us way back then. But they way I see it is, they fought and died for their country. Our countries were all fighting against another country who had been suppressing and conquering other nations. Now let's look at the modern day. America is over seas, suppressing and fighting on other nations' land. When the peoples of those nations fight back, we call them "terrorists". But in the end, they are fighting and dying for their country. Suicide bombers are a little extreme, but they are the most dedicated to their nation. They are no different than the people we are honouring today, so may it be WWII vets, suicide bombers, terrorists... they are all the same. They have all fought or are fighting for their nations causes. We should respect those who died and are dying, simply because lives are being/have been taken. Not for the fact that they are fighting for our country. America is seeming more and more like the WWII Germany. The warrant-less phone taps, the detaining of citizens under suspicion but no evidence required, the absolute control the government has... the excessive warring without cause. So in fact the tables have turned, instead of fighting for our "freedom"... we are now suppressing the freedom of other nations. Instead of people dying for a cause, they killing and dying for nothing... except some oil. Instead of remembrance day solely being for remembering our soldiers who died in the early half of the 1900s... it should be for remembering all of those who have died in combat... Because all soldiers are the same, Middle eastern people, American people, Canadian people... there is no difference... they are all brainwashed by their nation, and sent out to fight to the death. It's a shame. Oh and Barack Hussein Obama can tongue my f****g b**s. I knew from the day he was elected, simply from the amount of joy that swept across their people, he was no different. It was just a new face, carrying out the same plans. He is a villain, he is Bush v2.0, the half black edition.
